7- Layer Party Dip: An Excellent Halloween Appetizer!
Seven Layer Party Dip is a tasty Halloween recipe you can whip up any time of the year. It is a real crowd -pleaser! This dip with a Mexican flair is always a welcome sight at any party. I am getting hungry just thinking about it!
This is a relatively simple recipe to make. All you need is the following:
- Frying Pan
- Large Spoon
- Zip-Lock Bag
- 12- inch Round Baking Dish
Ingredients:
- Ground Beef-1 to 1 1/2 lbs of at least 85% lean (I personally like ground round)
- 1 package Taco Seasoning Mix of your choice (I like the low sodium variety)
- Medium Sized Can of Refried Beans or 2 small ones
- Salsa of your choice
- Guacamole
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese, mild or sharp, whatever you prefer
- Jack Cheese (optional)
- Sliced Black Olives
- Chopped Green Onions
- Sliced, Seeded Jalapeno Peppers, if you want a more spicy kick
- Chopped Tomato
- Sour Cream
- Bag of Taco Chips for dipping
Directions:
Brown your ground beef. Add taco seasoning according to package directions.
After the seasoned beef has finished cooking, allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
Using your baking dish, begin the layering process. Start with the refried beans, spreading an even layer along the bottom of the dish. Then add a layer of your beef mixture. Next you will want to spread a layer of guacamole over the top of the beef mixture. Put a layer of salsa on top of the guacamole. Sprinkle some cheese on top of the salsa layer. Spread your chopped tomatoes on top of the cheese. Next sprinkle the olives and chopped green onion on top.
Put some sour cream inside your zip-lock bag. Using a pair of scissors, snip off a bottom corner of your bag so there is a small opening. Squeeze the sour cream over the top of the dip mixture to form a spider web. This will give your recipe that Halloween look you want to achieve. Place a small plastic spider in the center if you desire.
Serve with taco chips. This Halloween recipe for 7-Layer Party Dip is so yummy!

Guacamole:
Guacamole is easy to make. All you really need to do is pick up a couple of ripe, soft avocados at the grocery store along with a packaged seasoning mix. Or you can make your own. This will require a few more ingredients.
